Players tour – Gambia
15th to 22nd February 2017
Adventure Kicks are looking to recruit a squad of 18 players to undertake an international football tour to The Gambia in February 2017. The tour will last 7 days (in country) and the Adventure Kicks team will play 3 games against local sides.
The team will be led by our head coach, Gregg McSwiggan, who will take charge of all team affairs (training, squad selection etc) with the football itinerary organised by our FIFA Licensed Match Agent, Martin Myers.
Gregg has been coaching in the game for a number of years and has a a wealth of footballing knowledge having been trained at Kilmarnock F.C under the tutelage of Jim Stewart. He’s had opportunities to work with many semi-professional clubs throughout Scotland including SPFL League One side Stenhousemuir FC and SLFL side The Spartans FC. His enthusiasm and experience will offer players a fantastic opportunity to develop their game.
The typical itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 – arrive in country
Day 2 – Training sessions (double sessions)
Day 3 – Tour match
Day 4 – Training session (double sessions)
Day 5 – Tour match
Day 6 – Rest day
Day 7 – Tour match followed by celebratory meal
Day 8 – return to UK
Games will take place in local stadiums with local clubs invited to come along and watch with a view to offering players an opportunity to play in the local leagues. Please note that if any contracts are offered they would be in line with local wages not UK. We take no liability for this.
You’ll be hosted in local accommodation on a shared B&B basis with lunch and dinner provided (set menu).
This is an exciting opportunity for players of all abilities to experience an international football tour to Africa.
